Scoutmaster's Corner
Who We Are

Troop 139 currently consists of almost 60 boys ranging in age from 11 to 18 (6th grade to High School Senior).  Our troop is on the younger side with more than half the troop in 6th and 7th grade and only 2 boys are older than 16.  However, what we lack in age we more than make up for in energy and enthusiasm.  We have a great group of Adult leaders who are committed to help and support these young scouts proceed down the scouting trail and become the backbone of the troop for many years to come.
Over the course of their Scouting “career”, while the boys are learning both practical and life skills, they are also, without failure, growing and maturing into fine young men, capable of leading others and leaving their mark on society.  The biggest source of pride that a Scout Leader has is seeing one of his Scouts makes a difference and knowing that his involvement in Scouting helped shape him.
We know that Scouting is about having a good time and learning at the same time.  That goes for the Scouts and it also goes for the Leaders.  If we didn’t enjoy what we do and love working with these young men, we wouldn’t do it.

Never forget…
If it isn't fun, it isn't scouting!!!
