California has a lot to offer. This trip centers on the Sierra Nevadas, on the border of California and Nevada. The trip would be approximately 2 weeks long and would include the following:

  • 4-5 Days of backpacking in King's Canyon, the deepest canyon in the US
  • 2-3 Days Hiking/exploring in Sequoia National Park, home of the largest trees in the world
  • 4-5 Days Hiking and exploring in Yosemite National Park, home to Half Dome, El'Capitan, and the 1600 foot Yosemite Falls.
  • 1 Day in San Fran
Some possible Highlights of the trip might be:
  • Hike up Half Dome. Incredible is too mild a statement for this
  • Hike up to both Vernal and Nevada Falls in one trip. They are both high volume falls that are hundreds of feet high
  • See the World's biggest tree, the Sherman tree. It is 33 feet in diameter!
  • See an amazing colletion of Enormous trees. Each one is impossibly large
  • Hike up to the top of a 1600 foot water Fall. Stand at the top of the falls for a magnificant view of the valley
  • Hike on the famous John Muir Trail, going over passes 10,000 feet in elevation
