canoeing TROOP 139 is chartered by:

We are Boy Scout Troop 139 in Black River District of the Patriots' Path Council.

We are located in Chester New Jersey, nestled in the south west corner of Morris County. We have been serving the boys of our community since 1963. To date our troop has produced 59 Eagle Scouts, and hundreds of other outstanding citizens.

Our goal is to provide the tools and opportunities for the boys in our community to learn how to become the leaders of tomorrow…all while having fun today. We engage in a wide range of activities including camping, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, golfing, bowling, and the list goes on. Here are photos from just some of our activities. Please check out the this page for more information about the adult leaders and the roles and responsibilities of the parents and the scouts.

We meet at the Presbyterian Church on Main St in Chester, most Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9pmCome on by and see what we are about. You'll be glad you did!
